Social inspections in the agricultural and horticultural sectors in September 2026
During the entire month of September 2026, the companies in the agricultural and horticultural sectors – Joint Committees 132, 144 and 145 – will be subjected to announced inspections performed by the social inspection services.
Such an inspection will focus on the correct application of the social legislation, including: payslips, employment contracts, work regulations, expense allowances, wage payment proofs, illegal employment (DIMONA, LIMOSA, residence permit, …), sham self-employment or sham employment, false or irregular posting, forbidden provision of staff, …
In order to pass such inspections quickly, good preparation is essential. You can do this by getting all relevant documents and supporting documents ready in advance.
Note: this announced inspection runs alongside other possible – announced or unannounced – inspections from the various inspection services.
The inspection authority SIOD provides a sector-specific checklist outlining all documents and information that may be requested during these inspections. This enables organisations to prepare thoroughly for an inspection visit.
