Digital Government Communication: e-Box Enterprise as of March 2025

Since March 1, 2025, the Federal Public Service for Employment, Labor, and Social Dialogue (FOD WASO) has been sending all regular correspondence to companies exclusively via the e-Box Enterprise, a secure digital platform. This also applies to foreign companies operating in Belgium. Registered letters will still be sent by post for the time being.

What does this mean for foreign companies?

If your company operates in Belgium, the Belgian government may send you important documents, notifications, and correspondence via e-Box Enterprise. This includes communication regarding employment, social security, and labor regulations.

What is e-Box Enterprise?

The e-Box Enterprise is a secure digital mailbox where companies receive official messages from Belgian government institutions. In addition to FOD WASO, other institutions such as the National Social Security Office (RSZ) and the National Employment Office (RVA) also use this system.

How to activate e-Box Enterprise?

To make use of e-Box Enterprise, your company must register and activate access. This can be done through the official Belgian government website. Once activated, authorized persons within your company can easily manage all received messages online.
